While there are pockets of woodland around the otherwise flat plains, the majority of Centaurs choose to make their homes out in the open. There are a few streams and a lake that they tend to stick close to as a source of fresh water, but smaller ponds from natural springs can be found elsewhere. Thunderstorms are frequent and the colder months can be brutal if a herd is caught unprepared.
